HEIDENHAIN ENCODERS

An encoder is an electro-mechanical device, which converts circular or linear motion into an electrical signal. This signal can be analog or digital. The signal can be counted or decoded to provide linear or angular position with extraordinary precision.

Heidenhain linear and rotary encoders are built to the highest accuracy and quality standards in the industry. Heidenhain linear encoders are available with accuracy better than 1 micron, in lengths exceeding 20 meters. These encoders can exceed IP64 protection class. Heidenhain linear encoders maintain their integrity even at 480 M/min feedrate!
